Sony Pictures Networks India is looking for a high-performing Group Head – Ad Sales to drive advertising revenue for its Sports portfolio. The role will be responsible for driving revenue growth through sales strategy, client acquisition and retention, strategic account management, and maximizing monetization opportunities across the network’s sports properties.

Position Specification
Education: Post Graduate Diploma / MBA in Management or equivalent

Experience: 12+ years of experience in Television/Media Ad Sales, with strong experience in managing client and agency relationships and delivering advertising revenue. Experience in sports broadcasting or high-impact/live event sales will be preferred, along with exposure to integrated deals, sponsorships, branded content and large-value deal execution. Strong understanding of the media agency ecosystem, sports advertising landscape and revenue monetization models will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
• Support the Regional/National Sales Head in developing annual sales plans through market insights,



forecasts and business intelligence.
• Translate sales strategy into actionable plans and allocate targets across the team.
• Provide ongoing market intelligence and competitive insights to refine sales strategy and respond effectively to market shifts.
• Identify opportunities arising from the sports content calendar, marquee events and high-impact properties to maximize monetization.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align sales plans with business and content priorities.

Revenue Generation & Business Development
• Drive achievement of revenue targets across accounts, with a focus on growing wallet share, yield and margins.
• Lead client conversations and support the closure of large, integrated advertising deals.
• Identify and onboard current clients to expand the revenue base and strengthen the advertiser portfolio.
