Manager – Hostel Hospitality & Housekeeping(Residential)

Position Overview
The General Manager – Hostel Hospitality & Housekeeping will be responsible for the overall housekeeping, hygiene, hospitality, cleanliness, and service standards across all University hostels .

The role will ensure that students are provided with a clean, hygienic, secure, well-maintained, and professionally managed residential environment . The position will lead housekeeping teams, supervisors, vendors, linen and consumable operations, and coordinate closely with hostel administration, wardens, security, maintenance, mess, and student affairs teams.





Key Responsibilities
1. Hostel Housekeeping Operations
- Manage end-to-end housekeeping operations across all University hostels.
- Establish and implement standardized housekeeping SOPs and service standards.
- Ensure daily cleanliness of:
- Student rooms
- Corridors
- Staircases
- Washrooms
- Common areas
- Study areas
- Recreation areas
- Dining/mess surroundings
- Hostel offices
- Visitor areas
- Establish daily, weekly, monthly, and deep-cleaning schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure timely corrective action.

2. Hygiene & Sanitation
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout hostel premises.
- Ensure regular cleaning and sanitization of washrooms and common areas.
- Monitor pest-control activities and preventive measures.
- Ensure proper garbage collection, segregation, disposal, and housekeeping practices.
