Job Responsibilities

Help transform welding flux development from an empirical,



trial-and-error process into a predictive, data-driven materials engineering discipline. The role focuses on understanding how variability in inorganic raw materials influences manufacturing behavior and welding performance, and applying Quality-by-Design (QbD), advanced analytics, and computational methods to develop more robust and consistent consumable products.

• Develop analytical characterization strategies for flux raw materials using techniques such as XRD, XRF, ICP, SEM-EDS, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, and thermal analysis.

• Apply statistical methods, chemometrics, and Bayesian optimization to understand the impact of raw material variability on product performance.

• Establish Quality-by-Design (QbD) frameworks by identifying Critical Material Attributes (CMAs) and linking them to manufacturing and welding outcomes.
