Business Analyst – KYC / AML / AFC
Role Overview
Translate regulatory requirements into implementable, scalable solutions for banks across business, process, data, and IT domains. This role covers the entire customer lifecycle—from onboarding through monitoring and offboarding—bridging business strategy, compliance, and software engineering.
Key Responsibilities
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and translate EU AML/AMLR, AMLD6, AMLA, German GwG, BaFin, FATF, and sanctions rules into operational impacts on processes, controls, and products.
• Lifecycle Process Design: Analyze and optimize CDD/EDD, UBO identification, PEP/sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, SAR workflows, and offboarding.
• Requirements Engineering: Write transparent business concepts, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, rule sets, data requirements, and test cases for IT teams.
• System & Data Architecture: Map data points/APIs, assess gaps across Core Banking, CRM, DWH/Data Lakes, DMS, and screening platforms; define entity resolution and audit trail standards.
• Controls & Governance: Design 1st,



2nd, and 3rd Lines of Defense workflows, four-eyes controls, quality gates, and evidence management.
• Project Delivery & Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitate workshops, manage cross-functional stakeholders (Business, Legal, Compliance, IT), and lead testing through business sign-off.
• AI & Automation: Evaluate AI/RAG and automation for document processing and relationship graphs while ensuring explainability, auditability, and human-in-the-loop oversight.
• Senior Leadership (Senior BA level): Lead sub-projects, direct team deliverables, and manage client/stakeholder relationships.

Required Qualifications
• Education: Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline with a banking/compliance focus.
• Experience: Multi-year track record as a BA, Requirements Engineer, Product Owner, or Consultant in banking/financial services.
