Role Purpose
We are looking for a proactive, self-driven Business Development Engineer who can open new customer accounts, create qualified opportunities and build a disciplined sales pipeline. The role will support the existing Business Development team, particularly in gaining entry into new industrial customers and converting early-stage engagement into active opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
· Identify and prospect new industrial customers, OEMs, panel builders, EPC companies, consultants and system integrators.
· Generate leads through market mapping, cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, references, networking and field visits.
· Secure initial customer meetings and introduce Leapfrog’s capabilities across Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation, HVAC, Fire & Safety and Strategic Business solutions.




· Qualify opportunities by understanding customer requirements, decision-makers, budget, timeline, competition and next actions.
· Develop new accounts from first contact through enquiry, proposal, technical discussion, negotiation and order conversion.
· Maintain consistent follow-up discipline and move opportunities through the sales funnel without waiting only for incoming enquiries.
· Create account maps covering procurement, engineering, projects, plant leadership, consultants and other key stakeholders.
· Coordinate with Application Engineering, Estimation and domain teams for timely and accurate techno-commercial offers.
· Participate in site visits, product presentations, technical discussions and commercial negotiations.
· Maintain complete and timely CRM updates covering customer contacts, opportunity stage, value, probability, next action and expected closure date.
