Introduction to team:
Data is central to how Expedia Group operates, serves travellers, and makes decisions. When data is incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or difficult to interpret, the impact can extend across products, analytics, operations, and customer experiences.
The Data Quality Platform team is responsible for building a centralized, scalable,



and extensible platform that helps teams proactively understand, validate, and trust their data across batch and streaming datasets. We provide automated profiling, configurable quality rules, data contracts, anomaly detection, incident workflows, alerting, and data health visibility so data producers can identify and resolve issues closer to the source.
We focus on building reliable, high-performance, secure, and cost-effective platform services that integrate with data pipelines and analytical systems. Typical technologies include Java, Kotlin, Spring, REST, gRPC, Amazon Web Services, Spark, Kafka, Airflow and Agentic AI. We encourage experimentation with new technologies, including machine-assisted data quality workflows, while balancing short- and long-term goals and maintaining a high bar for platform quality and operational excellence.
