Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Specialist - HR Operations to join our HR team in Mumbai. This role will be responsible for managing key HR operational processes, ensuring statutory and policy compliance, supporting payroll governance, coordinating employee benefits administration, and driving HR process excellence across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HR audits, compliance management, policy review and implementation, payroll input validation, and employee advantages administration. This is an individual contributor role requiring stakeholder management, process ownership, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Duties and Responsibilities:
HR Compliance & Audit
• Drive and manage periodic HR audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
• Maintain HR documentation, records, and compliance trackers.




• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required HR data and documentation.
• Identify compliance gaps, recommend corrective actions, and drive closure.
• Ensure adherence to employment laws, labor regulations, and company policies.

Policy Review & Implementation
• Review existing HR policies and processes to ensure alignment with business requirements and regulatory changes.
• Support drafting, updating, communication, and implementation of HR policies.
• Monitor policy adherence across employee populations.
• Recommend process improvements and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.

Payroll Governance
• Review monthly payroll inputs including employee lifecycle changes, attendance data, incentives, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.
• Partner with payroll vendors and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Validate payroll reports and resolve discrepancies before payroll closure.
