The Role

This post is suitable for an Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist or registered Nurse.

You are required to be HCPC/NMC registered (or relevant professional body), have relevant experience in neurodevelopment assessment, diagnosis and support strategies As an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team the post-holder will work as an autonomous practitioner to fulfil the key functions of the Neurodevelopmental Service.

In particular the post-holder will be responsible for the assessment, formulation, and diagnosis of a range of neurodevelopmental conditions and will recommend,



implement and evaluate complex programmes of care that proactively involves the person and their carers’ and optimises selfmanagement for children and young people (0-18 years) and their families. This post also provides pre diagnosis supports/ consultations across the multi-agency settings and education settings. Training and support for your professional development will be provided and we are committed to regular supervision, both uni-skilled as well as part of multi-disciplinary team to support reflection, and evidence-based practice.

It will be an advantage to have experience of assessment and intervention for children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences. The post holder is required to undertake duties without direct supervision as well as supporting and supervising work undertaken by registered and unregistered Health Care Support Workers.
