Job SummaryThe CO₂ Welder will be responsible for performing welding operations using CO₂ welding (GMAW) techniques on metal components as per engineering drawings and specifications. The role involves ensuring weld quality, structural integrity and adherence to workplace safety standards.
Key Responsibilities• Perform CO₂/GMAW welding on mild steel and other materials as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding and fitting.
• Inspect welds for quality, defects and compliance with required standards.
• Maintain and properly use welding equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and use required PPE at all times.




• Assist with fabrication and assembly work as required.
• Maintain relevant production and welding records.

Required Skills & Qualifications• ITI / Certification in Welding or relevant trade.
• Hands-on knowledge of the CO₂ (GMAW) welding process.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Good hand-eye coordination and welding precision.
• Understanding of safety procedures in a fabrication/workshop setting.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a workshop environment.
