Metallurgy Lab Incharge Quality Standards & Testing Job Description/: Responsibilities/: Metallographic Analysis & Microstructure Inspection/: Prepare metallographic specimens sectioning, mounting, grinding, polishing, chemical etching and evaluate microstructures, grain size, phase distributions, inclusion ratings, and decarburization depths under optical microscope and image analysis systems. Mechanical & Chemical Material Testing/: Oversee destructive and non/-destructive testing, including Tensile/Yield testing, Impact testing Charpy/Izod, Hardness testing Rockwell, Vickers, Brinell, Micro/-Vickers core/case depth profiling, Spectro chemical analysis, and Raw Material Test Certificate RMTC cross/-verification. Heat Treatment Process Validation/: Validate case hardening, carburizing, nitriding, induction hardening, annealing, and quenching/tempering processes certify core/effective case depth profiles and surface hardness limits. Failure Analysis & Root Cause Investigation/: Lead formal failure analysis on broken, fatigued,



or corroded production components utilize SEM/EDX where applicable, stereomicroscopy, and fracture surface analysis to produce comprehensive root/-cause failure analysis RCFA reports. Lab Quality, Calibration & Analytics/: Maintain ISO/IEC/NABL laboratory accreditation standards, oversee lab equipment calibration schedules, maintain chemical reagent inventories, and log daily lab sample test results, material rejection rates, and RMTC verification statuses using analytical tracking spreadsheets.
