Role Summary

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer with strong experience in supporting Java-based applications and integration middleware. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to IBM MQ, Autosys job scheduling, enterprise monitoring tools (preferably Dynatrace), and solid Linux/Unix and SQL skills. Prior experience in banking or financial services is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for business-critical Java applications in production and non-production environments.
- Monitor application health, performance, and availability using Dynatrace or similar APM/monitoring tools.
- Manage and troubleshoot IBM MQ messaging, including queues, channels, and message flows.
- Configure, schedule, and maintain Autosys jobs; analyze job failures and ensure timely resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and problems; implement preventive measures and permanent fixes.
- Work with Linux/Unix systems to perform log analysis, process monitoring, deployment support, and workplace checks.




- Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure smooth application operations and changes.
- Create and maintain support documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear status updates, incident reports, and technical explanations.

Required Skills & Experience
- Java Application Support:
- Experience in supporting Java/J2EE applications in production environments.
- Good understanding of application logs, JVM parameters, and basic performance tuning concepts.
- IBM MQ:
- Hands-on experience with IBM MQ configuration and administration.
- Ability to debug messaging issues and monitor message queues and channels.
- Autosys Job Scheduling:
- Experience creating, modifying, and troubleshooting Autosys jobs.
