About the Role

The Senior Internal Audit Manager, based out of Mumbai, will be responsible for driving the Quality Assurance and Audit Governance function for the Internal Audit Department. The role will oversee quality reviews of Internal Audit and Concurrent Audit reports, strengthen audit methodologies and governance frameworks, develop audit policies and SOPs, support Board, Audit Committee and regulatory reporting, and monitor departmental performance to ensure compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement across the audit function.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer the bank’s annual audit plan and ensure timely execution.
• Lead and oversee Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of Internal Audit and Concurrent Audit reports to ensure adherence to Internal Audit methodology, regulatory requirements, and reporting standards.
• Drive the preparation and presentation of Board and Committee decks including Internal Audit & Compliance Committee (IACC), Audit Committee of the Board (ACB), Managing Director (MD), RBI submissions,



and other governance forums.
• Review, approve, and provide oversight on engagement documentation including Master Service Agreements (MSA), Statements of Work (SOW), Engagement Letters (EL), and other audit-related documents.
• Drive accountability across stakeholders for timely closure of audit observations and ensure effective remediation through structured follow-up and escalation.
• Lead the development of management reports, dashboards, audit analytics, and governance metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
• Drive automation of audit governance, reporting, monitoring, and other audit-related activities wherever feasible to enhance efficiency, consistency, and coverage.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data analytics, automation tools, and emerging technologies to strengthen audit effectiveness and operational excellence.
