Honeywell India Technology Center in Gurugram is seeking a R&D; Scientist I
position to take ownership of the Elemental Analytical Laboratory and manage its
day-to-day operations.
Role Scope
The role involves working in a highly dynamic environment to characterize and
evaluate complex molecules using a broad range of analytical instruments.
Schedule Expectations
The successful candidate must be versatile to work in shifts and, when required,
on weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays.
Responsibilities:
* Hands on operation, analysis, calibration & accurate elemental value
determination using ICP OES, ICP MS , WD XRF, Combustion ion Chromatography.
Maintain inventory & provide basic troubleshooting for these instruments.
* Collect, organize, and interpret data from instruments & enter those results
into LIMS.
* Interact with R&D; and Pilot Plant staff to provide support, analyzing and
characterizing materials for Honeywell Technology.
* Maintain compliance with HSE policies and procedures and adopt HSE
requirements for safe laboratory operations.
* Communicate with instrument vendors & keep abreast of new analytical method
/technique on elemental chemistry.
* Recommend and implement safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
* Occasional lifting and moving of bags, samples, and other objects up to 10
pounds may be required.
Qualifications:
* Minimum MSc in Analytical/ Inorganic Chemistry from reputed university.
* 3-4 years’ working experience in Refinery / Petrochemicals will be
advantageous.
* Computer literate - including MS word and excel.
* Ability to work both independently, and in team environments.
