SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

HYBRID, BANGALORE OR PUNE, INDIA

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Review customer contracts and create Sales Orders in NetSuite to ensure
proper revenue accounting treatment.
* Partner with Sales and Legal during contract negotiations to flag
non-standard terms, discounting issues, or revenue recognition risk.
* Ensure complex sales orders and milestones are accurately billed; prepare,
review, and distribute customer billing with a service-oriented approach to
client inquiries.
* Prepare and reconcile deferred revenue, unbilled AR, and commission accrual
journal entries
* Review daily transactions related to receivables and customer deposits for
accuracy and timeliness.
* Record and review general ledger journal entries; support GL integrity
through consistent reconciliation and review.
* Support payroll data alignment between HR and Accounting for multi-country
compensation processing (data validation, not ownership of payroll
compliance).
* Contribute to team planning, recommend cost-control opportunities, and
support ad hoc accounting projects.

REQUIREMENTS





* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
* 5 years of accounting experience at a global, US-HQ'd company, with
demonstrated strength in general ledger, journal entries, and month-end
close.
* Working knowledge of US GAAP, accrual accounting, and revenue recognition
principles (ASC 606 exposure a plus).
* Proficiency with NetSuite required;.
* Strong organizational skills; able to manage competing priorities
independently and cross-functionally.
* Close attention to detail and analytical rigor in resolving financial
discrepancies.
