Summary:

This position reports to BU lead.

This position leads production for the Mandideep plant and is responsible for driving Lean Manufacturing and asset utilization levels to meet production targets within the limits of Hershey business plan, global Lean Standards ,global quality standards, good manufacturing practices, workplace, health and safety standards, and good community and government relations.

Major Duties/Responsibilities

Areas of Responsibility:

Production and Manpower planning

• Create the 24 hour action plan for all 6 six lines (Production, Manpower and RM & PM planning)
• Coach and develop Operator capabilities on the production floor
• Execute actions and support their line centric team to meet the goals for the business unit
• Owner of the CIL Daily Management Systems for the BU

Monitoring & Reviewing

• Attend the BU meeting and all DDS daily; Provide relevant inputs for the production plan.




• Supporting Weekly BU and Monthly BU takes place as per the Lean standard, keep a track of all KPIs and projects undertaken by the team.
• Monitor the achievement of monthly production schedule, actual cost of production in terms of fixed and variable costs, against standard costs.
• Continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery.

Lean Manufacturing

• Lead the daily direction setting cadence for the business unit at the shift hand-off and shift huddle
• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the CIL Daily Management System for the line
• Provide operators with resources needed to be successful.
• Identify and implement improvements defined by line centric team
• Be a Coach for operators, supporting and verifying they know how to own and maintain their equipment.
• Identify and drive actions to meet the business unit goals

People Management

• Guide teams and drive engagement by applying consistent standards for performance manag
