Role & responsibilities

- Lead cost reduction initiatives from ideation through implementation for direct material procurement.
- Source and develop suppliers for Metal Fabrication and Machined Steel commodities.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Logistics, SQEs, and Buyers to achieve project milestones and delivery timelines.
- Analyze part costs, negotiate tooling investments, pricing, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
- Manage RFQ processes, sourcing activities, and master data within SAP MM.
- Evaluate engineering drawings and specifications using GD&T; knowledge to support sourcing decisions.
- Proven experience in Direct Material Procurement and Strategic Sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Metal Fabrication and Machined Steel manufacturing processes.
- Positive understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Experience in part costing, tooling negotiations, and commercial settlements.
- Hands-on experience with SAP MM.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and project coordination skills in a global environment.
