Bristlecone India Limited is seeking an experienced Lead SAP ABAP Consultant to join our S/4 HANA Technical – Delivery team. The role involves end‑to‑end ownership of ABAP development, enhancement, integration, and support activities, ensuring high‑quality solutions that meet business requirements and align with our S/4HANA roadmap.

Responsibilities

- Lead design, development, and enhancement of ABAP objects in the S/4HANA environment.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and robust code.
- Perform code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.
- Integrate SAP modules with external systems using IDocs, BAPIs, OData, and APIs.
- Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues in existing ABAP programs.
- Support functional teams during testing, UAT, and production rollout.
- Ensure compliance with SAP S/4HANA migration guidelines and upgrade strategies.
- Collaborate with architecture and delivery leads to define technical roadmaps.




- Manage documentation, version control, and change management processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in SAP development practices.

Qualifications

- 8+ years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Robust expertise in SAP S/4HANA (ECC to S/4 conversion, new development).
- Proficiency in ABAP OO, BAPIs, BADIs, Enhancements, ALV, and OData services.
- Experience with SAP integration technologies (IDoc, ALE, RFC, SOAP/REST).
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership or team‑lead experience.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- SAP certification (ABAP, S/4HANA) preferred.
