Roles and Responsibilities:

Test Automation Lead (Playwright and AI-Assisted Migration)

Role summary:

* You will lead the migration of our legacy Testim suite to Playwright and
scale our AI-based orchestration process. You will work closely with the
current migration owner, set standards, guide the Automation Testers, and make
sure migrated tests are reliable, maintainable, and meaningful rather than just
ported one-to-one.

Key responsibilities:

* Own the end-to-end migration roadmap: prioritize the test cases by risk,
business criticality, flakiness, and redundancy.
* Refine and scale the AI-assisted migration workflow (prompt patterns,
orchestration steps, review gates, and reusable templates).
* Define and enforce the quality bar for migrated tests, including a
definition of done, a code review checklist, and validation that each migrated
test still covers the original intent.
* Make migrate, rewrite, or retire decisions on legacy tests, and drive the
removal of duplicates and obsolete cases.
* Strengthen the Playwright framework: page objects and fixtures, test data
management, parallelization, reporting, and CI/CD integration.
* Track and report migration metrics (completion %, velocity, pass rate,
flake rate, defects caught) to stakeholders weekly.
* Mentor Automation Testers and the existing team on Playwright best
practices and effective,



responsible use of AI tools.
* Identify risks and blockers early (dependencies, workplace issues,
knowledge gaps) and escalate with proposed solutions.
* Ensure knowledge is documented so migration does not depend on a single
person.

Required qualifications:

* 8+ years in QA/test automation, with 2+ years in a lead or senior role.
* Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript or JavaScript
preferred), including fixtures, network mocking, auth handling, and parallel
execution.
* Proven experience migrating or modernizing automation suites (Testim,
Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
* Demonstrated practical use of AI tools (LLMs, coding assistants, agentic
workflows) for test generation, refactoring, or migration, with the judgment to
validate the output.
* Solid CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar).
* Strong grasp of test design, risk-based testing, and the test pyramid.
* Excellent communication skills, able to work with QA, developers, and
management.

Preferred qualifications:

* Prior experience with Testim.
* API test automation and experience with visual or accessibility testing.
* Experience building metrics dashboards for test health.
* Familiarity with prompt engineering and building repeatable AI workflows.
