Role Description The Category Head role is a full time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Category Head will oversee product categories, including portfolio planning, pricing, and assortment decisions to drive growth and profitability. This role involves analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity, and translating insights into category strategies and promotional plans. The Category Head will collaborate closely with procurement, marketing, operations,



and finance to ensure product availability, effective campaigns, and an excellent customer experience. Additional responsibilities include tracking performance metrics, optimizing inventory, and leading cross-functional initiatives to strengthen Urban Platter’s position in the food and gourmet segment.

• Strong expertise in category management, product assortment planning, and pricing strategy.
• Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and performance tracking using spreadsheets and analytics tools.
• Experience in stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and vendor or supplier relationships.
• Skills in marketing coordination, promotion planning, and understanding of consumer and market trends.
• Background in FMCG, retail, e-commerce, or food and beverage categories is highly beneficial.
