About Mentora Health
Mentora Health is a mental health startup building a digital wellbeing ecosystem for schools, students, parents, teachers, and mental health professionals. We are making support more accessible, prevention-forward, and coordinated, especially for young people.

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer Intern to take ownership of real product problems, develop portfolio-worthy work, and learn how digital products are designed and developed within a startup.

What Makes This Internship Different
• Real product ownership: Work on actual features, screens, and user journeys for a platform currently in development, with contributions that may reach real users.
• Portfolio development: Where appropriate and subject to confidentiality, turn your work and design process into meaningful case studies.
• Guidance and feedback: Work closely with the founding and product team, receive regular feedback, and understand the reasoning behind design decisions.
• A defined experience: A 3-month internship with explicit responsibilities, deliverables, and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Depending on your skills and the product requirements, you may:
• Design mobile and web experiences for students, parents, teachers, counsellors, and schools.
• Translate product requirements into information architecture, user flows, and intuitive well-being workflows.
• Create low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity UI screens, and interactive Figma prototypes.
• Develop responsive layouts, reusable components, and consistent design systems.
• Improve accessibility, usability, and age-appropriate engagement through thoughtful micro-interactions.
• Refine existing screens through feedback and iteration.
• Collaborate with developers on handoff, implementation, and product reviews.
