Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with robust hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, and VSAM. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise mainframe applications running on IBM z/OS.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL.
Create and maintain JCL for batch job execution and production processing.
Design, access, and maintain VSAM datasets.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, and implementation of mainframe programs.
Troubleshoot batch failures, application issues, and production incidents.
Perform root cause analysis and provide permanent solutions for recurring issues.
Optimize COBOL programs and batch jobs for performance and reliability.
