Position: Chef Trainee
Department: Food Production / Kitchen

Location: Hotel Annamalai Grand, Madurai

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Chef Trainee to join our kitchen team. This position is ideal for a fresher who is passionate about cooking and interested in building a career in the hotel and restaurant industry.

Key Responsibilities
Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
Learn and prepare food according to standard recipes and instructions.
Assist with chopping, cutting, marinating, preparation, and cooking.
Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Follow food safety and kitchen safety procedures.
Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas.
Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients.
Help with mise en place before service.
Follow portion sizes and presentation standards.
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Learn different cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.




Follow instructions given by the Chef / Sous Chef.

Requirements
Fresher with a genuine interest in cooking and food preparation.
Hotel Management / Culinary Arts / Catering course preferred.
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations is an advantage.
Willingness to learn and work under experienced chefs.
Good hygiene and personal grooming.
Hardworking, punctual, and disciplined.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Willingness to work versatile shifts, including weekends and holidays.
