Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our Health Care team, where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive eye care services. This position is ideal for a professional with foundational experience who is eager to utilize technical expertise in vision assessment and patient interaction. The primary objective of this role is to conduct accurate diagnostic evaluations, interpret visual data, and provide essential guidance to patients, ensuring high standards of ocular health and visual clarity within the organization.

Responsibilities
Perform detailed vision screenings and comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and ocular health.
Operate specialized diagnostic equipment, including autorefractometers, slit lamps, and applanation tonometers, to measure intraocular pressure and corneal curvature.
Conduct refraction tests and retinoscopy procedures to determine accurate corrective lens prescriptions.
Utilize fundus cameras and A-scan devices to capture detailed images and measurements of the retina and ocular structures.
Execute keratometry and RT tests to evaluate corneal shape and binocular vision function.




Administer visual field testing (HVF) to detect peripheral vision loss or neurological issues.
Provide explicit counseling and education to patients regarding their vision conditions, treatment options, and preventative care strategies.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all clinical procedures adhere to safety and hygiene protocols.

Requirements
Possess a valid qualification in Optometry with 0 to 1 year of practical work experience.
Demonstrate proficiency in core clinical skills such as refraction, retinoscopy, and slit lamp examinations.
Be skilled in operating advanced diagnostic tools including the autorefractometer, applanation tonometer, fundus camera, A-scan, and keratometer.
Have the ability to conduct HVF (Visual Field) testing and interpret results effectively.
Exhibit robust interpersonal abilities for patient counseling and communication.
Familiarity with eye care software systems like I care is preferred.
Maintain a professional demeanor and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.
