Job Description

We are looking for a Fabrication Assistant Engineer to support daily fabrication and production activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and supervising daily fabrication activities.
Read and interpret fabrication, GA, and shop drawings.
Monitor cutting, fit-up, welding, grinding, assembly, and finishing.
Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, WPS, ITP, and quality requirements.
Check dimensions, alignment, levels, and fit-up.
Coordinate with supervisors, fitters, welders, QC, Stores, and Safety teams.
Monitor manpower, productivity, production targets, and material availability.
Prepare daily fabrication/production progress reports.
Coordinate inspections and rectification of quality issues.
Monitor rework, material wastage, housekeeping, and secure working practices.
Support loading, dispatch,



and site erection activities when required.

Required Skills:
Valuable knowledge of fabrication and welding activities.
Ability to read engineering/fabrication drawings.
Basic knowledge of welding symbols and dimensional inspection.
Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
Valuable communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively under production deadlines.

Qualification & Experience:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering discipline.
2–3 years of experience in structural steel, piping, PEB, or general fabrication.
