About the Role

Life Care Counselling Centre is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Special Educator to join our team and support children with learning difficulties through individualized educational support and intervention.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and committed to helping each learner develop their academic, cognitive, social and functional skills.

Key Responsibilities
Provide individualized educational support to children with learning difficulties.
Identify learning needs and develop suitable intervention strategies.
Conduct structured remedial teaching and learning activities.
Support children with difficulties related to reading, writing, mathematics and other academic skills.
Track and document the child's learning progress.
Adapt teaching methods and activities according to individual needs.
Work collaboratively with parents, counsellors, psychologists and other professionals.




Provide guidance to parents regarding appropriate learning strategies and home-based support.
Maintain appropriate records of sessions, interventions and progress.

Qualifications
B.Ed. in Special Education – Learning Disability or equivalent recognized qualification.
Candidates with relevant experience in special education, remedial teaching or working with children with learning difficulties will be preferred.
Positive communication skills in Malayalam and English.
Patience, empathy and a child-friendly approach.
Ability to work independently as well as as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills
Experience working with children with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD).
Knowledge of remedial teaching techniques and individualized education strategies.
Ability to create engaging and child-friendly learning activities.
Solid observation and communication skills.
