Key Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end Import Documentation for Sea and Air shipments.
Prepare and verify documents required for Customs Clearance , including Bill of Entry, Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB and other supporting documents.
Prepare and file Bill of Entry (BOE) and ensure accuracy of customs-related documentation.
Coordinate with customers/importers, CHA/Customs team, shipping lines, airlines, transporters and internal operations teams.
Follow up for missing documents, clarifications and approvals required for customs clearance.
Ensure timely processing of import shipments and adherence to customer requirements and timelines.
Update shipment and documentation status in Logisys software .
Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation and filing.
Coordinate with the operations team for smooth shipment clearance and delivery.
Monitor pending documentation and proactively follow up to avoid delays.
Handle customer queries related to import documentation and clearance status.
Ensure compliance with applicable Customs procedures and documentation requirements.
Requirements
Graduate in any discipline; qualification in Logistics/International Trade will be an advantage.
2–5 years of experience in Import Documentation / Customs Clearance.
Must have experience handling both Sea and Air Import shipments .
Positive knowledge of Import Customs Clearance procedures and documentation .
Hands-on knowledge of Logisys software is mandatory.
Knowledge of ICEGATE and Bill of Entry filing will be an advantage.
Positive communication and coordination skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office/Excel.
Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
