Role & responsibilities
Manage day-to-day store and inventory operations at the furniture factory/project/site.
Receive, inspect, and record incoming furniture materials, hardware, fittings, fabrics, wood, plywood, laminates, and other materials.
Maintain proper records of material inward, outward, stock, and consumption.
Issue materials to production/site teams as per approved requirements.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate for timely material replenishment.
Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure proper storage, identification, and handling of materials to avoid damage or wastage.
Maintain GRN, stock registers, material issue slips, and other store-related documentation.
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Project, and Accounts teams regarding material requirements and shortages.
Track materials issued to different projects/sites and maintain project-wise stock records.
Monitor movement of materials between the factory, warehouse,
and project sites.
Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and security of the store area.
Prepare regular inventory and stock reports for management.
Preferred candidate profile
57 years of relevant experience in Furniture / Interior / Manufacturing / Project Site Stores.
Solid knowledge of furniture materials, hardware, fittings, fabrics, wood, plywood, MDF, laminates, etc.
Experience in handling factory, warehouse, or project/site stores.
Positive knowledge of inventory management and stock reconciliation.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer operations.
Robust coordination and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple material requirements and meet project timelines.
Candidates with experience in furniture manufacturing companies will be preferred.
