– Area Credit Manager (ACM)

Work Location: Regional Office / Zonal Office / Designated Branches (covering 6–8 branches)

Reporting To: Zonal Credit Manager / State Credit Manager

Job Overview

The Area Credit Manager (ACM) is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end credit approval process within defined turnaround times (TAT), ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards, and maintaining the overall portfolio quality across assigned branches. The role involves regular branch engagement, audit compliance, risk monitoring, and effective implementation of credit policies at the field level.

Key Responsibilities
Loan Approvals
Ensure timely processing and approval of loan proposals within the stipulated TAT.
Monitor post-approval audit observations and ensure prompt closure of compliance requirements.
Analyse stage-wise loan rejections and track trends to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
Product & Policy Implementation




Ensure effective and timely implementation of Head Office circulars, current product guidelines, and revised credit policies across all assigned branches.
Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to branch staff on updated processes and policy changes.
Branch Monitoring & Analysis
Conduct periodic branch visits to assess credit processes, operational efficiency, and adherence to policies.
Prepare detailed observation and analysis reports with actionable insights.
Identify early warning signals of potential NPAs and overdue accounts, and escalate the same to the reporting authority.
Coordination & Support
Collaborate closely with branch teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
Provide necessary support and guidance to ensure quality disbursement and risk mitigation.
