Senior DataPower / Managed File Transfer Engineer

Required Technical Skill Set

6+ years of experience with IBM DataPower (SFTP Gateway), IBM Connect:Direct (NDM), and AWS Transfer Family. Robust Linux, scripting, automation, encryption, certificate/key management, cloud integration, monitoring/logging, and disaster recovery experience.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Primary Skills
Engineer, implement, and support Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms.
Define and maintain platform standards, architecture frameworks, and best practices.
Support secure file transfer connectivity, client onboarding, and production readiness assessments.
Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA),



and drive platform stability improvements.
Execute platform upgrades, patch management, capacity planning, disaster recovery (DR), and resiliency testing.
Enforce security, compliance, and governance controls across the MFT workplace.
Drive automation, observability, cloud adoption, and platform modernization initiatives.
Develop and maintain runbooks, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to team members and stakeholders.
Experience with enterprise monitoring/SIEM integrations, cloud-native architectures, automation frameworks, Infrastructure-as-Code, and highly available MFT platforms.
