About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Database Administrator to manage, optimize and secure both relational and non-relational databases. You'll bring solid production experience, performance tuning, high availability setups and cloud-based database solutions, and you'll work on high-scale, high-throughput systems.

What You'll Do

Database Management
Install, configure and administer Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL
Manage NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra and DynamoDB
Handle provisioning, upgrades, patching and migrations

Performance & Reliability
Analyze and optimize slow queries, indexes and database workloads
Tune performance at the database, query and infrastructure levels
Proactively monitor performance and implement improvements

High Availability & Scalability




Design and implement HA/DR solutions (replication, clustering, Always On, Data Guard, streaming replication)
Keep systems highly available, scalable and resilient
Contribute to capacity planning and scaling strategies

Backup & Disaster Recovery
Design, implement and validate backup and recovery strategies
Plan and test disaster recovery
Ensure RPO/RTO requirements are met

Security & Compliance
Manage database security: roles, access control and encryption
Ensure compliance with data protection and governance standards
Run regular audits and vulnerability assessments

Cloud & Automation
Work on cloud platforms, preferably AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2-hosted databases)
Automate routine DBA tasks with Shell, Python and PowerShell
Support infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices

Collaboration & Support
Partner with development and DevOps teams on schema design and deployments
Support CI/CD pipelines involving database changes
Provide L2/L3 support for production issues and incidents

Positive to Have
DBA certifications (Oracle, Microsoft, PostgreSQL)
