We are looking for an experienced Education / Student Counsellor with solid exposure to international university admissions and study-abroad counselling. The candidate should have experience counselling students for a mix of Ivy League / highly selective universities, top-ranked institutions, and mid-level international universities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct one-to-one counselling sessions with students and parents.
Understand students' academic profiles, career goals, preferences and budgets.
Recommend suitable countries, courses and universities based on student profiles.
Handle applications for Ivy League / highly selective, top-ranked and mid-tier universities.
Provide guidance on admission requirements, application timelines and university selection.
Support students with SOPs, Essays, LORs, CVs and interview preparation.
Guide students on scholarships and funding opportunities.
Track applications, deadlines, offers and admission processes.
Maintain regular communication with students and parents throughout the journey.
Stay updated on international university programmes, admission criteria and intake cycles.
Required Skills & Experience
2–6 years of experience in Study Abroad / Overseas Education / International Admissions counselling.
Solid knowledge of international universities and admission processes.
Experience with US, UK, Canada, Australia and/or European universities.
Exposure to both premium/highly selective and mid-level universities.
Strong understanding of profile evaluation and university shortlisting.
Positive knowledge of SOP/Essay guidance and application strategy.
Excellent communication, counselling and relationship-management skills.
Strong research, follow-up and coordination abilities.
Preferred
Experience counselling students targeting Ivy League / Top Global Universities.
Experience handling Undergraduate / Master's / MBA admissions.
Experience in premium or boutique overseas education consultancy.
Strong student and parent handling skills.
Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
