Key Responsibilities
Design and develop machine covers, guards, enclosures, panels and sheet metal components.
Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, flat patterns and fabrication drawings.
Solid knowledge of sheet metal bending, laser cutting, CNC punching and welding.
Handle bend allowance, K-factor, tolerances and material selection.
Ensure proper fitment, clearance, accessibility and manufacturability.
Coordinate with Production, Quality and Fabrication teams for design implementation.
Prepare BOMs and engineering documentation and manage drawing revisions.
Identify and resolve design and fabrication-related issues.

Required Expertise
Machine covers and industrial enclosures
Sheet metal fabrication and machine guarding
AutoCAD and SolidWorks/Creo/Inventor
GD&T; and engineering drawing interpretation
DFM and cost-effective design
