Position: Head – HEMM

Job Purpose

Lead the HEMM function to ensure protected, reliable, productive and cost-effective operation and maintenance of all Heavy Earth Moving Machinery.

Key Responsibilities
Manage overall HEMM fleet operations, maintenance and deployment.
Ensure high equipment availability, utilisation and productivity.
Plan and monitor preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
Minimise equipment downtime, MTTR and recurring failures.
Control fuel, tyre, spare-parts and maintenance costs.
Ensure achievement of production and equipment-performance targets.
Monitor HEMM KPIs including availability, utilisation, MTBF, MTTR, fuel efficiency and cost/tonne.




Ensure compliance with mining safety, statutory and OEM requirements.
Lead HEMM teams, contractors and OEM/service partners.
Drive digitalisation, fleet monitoring and predictive maintenance initiatives.
Conduct RCA for major failures and implement continuous improvement.

Qualification & Experience
B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
10–15+ years of relevant experience in mining HEMM operations, and OEM maintenance.
Solid experience of Surface and UG HEMM.
Solid leadership, decision-making, cost-management and problem-solving skills.
