Job DescriptionJob Responsibilities:As a Senior Engineer Lead the design for OLE design Schemes.Delivery and management of the production of technical designs for OLE including Layout Plans, Cross Sections, Allocations, Isolation Diagrams updates, bonding designs, and supporting reports and calculations.Ensuring designs are delivered in line with relevant, current design standards, are constructable, and apply Safe by Design principles.Communicate effectively with other design/construction disciplines and sub-contractorsRespond to design queries during construction phase and attend online meetings if required.CommercialMaintain cost effective standards for OLE designsContribute to the development of continuous improvement plansDevelop and maintain client relationships as appropriate.Minimum RequirementsProven designer experience of significant Overhead Line technical designComprehensive knowledge and Experienced in OLEMI and other OLE ranges i.E. UKMS, Series-1, Series-2, Mk3B, GEFF, Mk1, SICAT, SNCF, UK1 etc.Familiar with Isolation diagrams and their update process.Understanding of Earthing & Bonding required for electrificationProficient in Bentley MicroStation CAD softwareExcellent communication and organization Skills.Understanding of CSM-RA & Health and Safety including CDMExperience in managing teams.Candidates will be able to provide experience of working in a 3D common data environment working to BIM procedures and practices.Ability to develop OLE designs through the different stages of the project life cycle for complex sitesKnowledge of the design processes of other rail disciplines and how they may impact OLE designsPreferred QualificationsBEng or B Tech or MEng degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering + 7 year ExpChartered Engineer (or working towards) and member of a professional institution.QualificationsAdditional InformationAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
