We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Radiology Coder (ProFee coder) with denial management experience to join our team in Egmore, Chennai. This is a provider side US healthcare company. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in radiology coding, with a focus on managing denials and ensuring accurate coding practices. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively within a team to optimize revenue cycle processes.
Responsibilities
- Review and code radiology procedures and diagnoses accurately according to coding guidelines.
- Manage and resolve coding denials and appeals effectively to maximize reimbursement.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation and coding.
- Stay updated on changes in coding regulations and billing practices specific to radiology.
- Maintain coding integrity by conducting regular audits and providing feedback to the team.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-6 years of experience in radiology coding or related field.
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy related to radiology.
- Experience with coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of NCCI edits, bundling, modifiers, and coding compliance. Ability to interpret radiology reports and supporting medical documentation.
Salary: Will be matched according to previous salary and experience
Work Location: Egmore, Chennai.
