Duties and responsibilities in this position are:

Operational

- Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities to achieve production targets as per the approved schedule.
- Ensure production is carried out efficiently while meeting required standards of quality, productivity, cost, and delivery.
- Prepare and implement production plans in coordination with Planning, Sales, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
- Monitor production output, machine utilization, manpower productivity, material consumption, and production efficiency.
- Allocate manpower, machines, materials, and other resources effectively to meet daily and monthly production requirements.
- Ensure availability of raw materials, components, packaging materials, tools, and other production inputs in coordination with the relevant departments.
- Monitor production processes and identify bottlenecks, delays, wastage, downtime, and other operational issues.
- Take timely corrective actions to minimize production downtime, rejection, rework, scrap, and material wastage.
- Ensure all production activities are carried out according to approved SOPs, work instructions, specifications, and process standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department to ensure products meet defined quality standards and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, statutory requirements, company policies, and environmental standards.




- Monitor machine and equipment performance and coordinate with the Maintenance Department for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Maintain proper production records, reports, shift records, downtime reports, rejection reports, and other required documentation.
- Review daily production performance against targets and report variances, challenges, and corrective actions to management.
- Monitor and control production costs, including material consumption, manpower utilization, overtime, energy usage, and process losses.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, workplace organization, 5S practices, and safe working conditions throughout the production area
- Investigate production-related problems and implement root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Coordinate production activities across shifts and ensure proper handover of production status, pending activities, quality issues, and operational concerns.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, identification, and movement of raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and production-related materials.
- Support the introduction of recent products, processes, machinery, and production methods, including trials and process validation.
- Monitor and improve key production KPIs such as output, productivity, OEE, rejection rate, rework, downtime, yield, and on-time production.
- Ensure production documentation, records, and reports are accurate, complete, and maintained as required by company procedures.
- Perform other production and operational responsibilities assigned by the Plant Head / Operations Head / Management.
