- Lead and manage the Manual & Coral Design department and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor design work according to production priorities and delivery schedules.
- Develop and approve manual and coral jewellery designs in line with company standards and customer requirements.
- Review design concepts, sketches, specifications, stone layouts, and technical details before production.
- Ensure designs are commercially viable, production-friendly, and meet required quality standards.
- Coordinate with merchandising, production, CAD, sampling, and quality teams for smooth execution of designs.

- Guide designers in developing new concepts, collections, and customized jewellery designs.
- Monitor the accuracy of measurements, proportions, stone settings, metal usage, and design specifications.
- Ensure proper interpretation of customer requirements, design briefs, reference images, and technical instructions.
- Resolve design-related issues arising during sampling, production, setting, finishing, and quality inspection.
- Maintain design records, approved samples, design references, specifications, and revision history.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of design work as per departmental and production deadlines
- Identify opportunities for improving design quality,



productivity, material utilization, and production efficiency.
- Keep updated with jewellery design trends, techniques, market requirements, finishing styles, and customer preferences.
- Develop and maintain design standards, templates, guidelines, and best practices for the department.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of design tools, equipment, reference materials, and departmental resources.
- Conduct regular checks of ongoing work and provide corrective guidance to designers wherever required.
- Support the development of current products, collections, prototypes, and special customer requirements.
- Coordinate with senior management regarding design priorities, critical projects, challenges, and resource requirements.
- Ensure confidentiality and protection of company designs, customer designs, concepts, and intellectual property.
- Monitor departmental productivity and ensure optimum utilization of manpower and available resources.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on design progress, pending work, completed projects, quality issues, and departmental performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
