Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Manager Litigation to lead and manage litigation matters related to collections, recovery, and legal disputes across the organisation. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to the Fintech or NBFC industry, with expertise in collection-related legal matters, court proceedings, recovery actions, and coordination with external legal counsels.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end litigation matters, including civil, criminal, recovery, arbitration, and consumer cases.
- Handle legal proceedings related to collection and recovery across various jurisdictions.
- Draft, review, and vet legal notices, replies, petitions, affidavits, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate with external advocates, law firms, and recovery agencies for effective case management.
- Monitor court cases and ensure timely filing, appearances, and closure of legal matters.
- Provide legal guidance to collection, recovery, and business teams on litigation-related issues.
- Develop litigation strategies to minimise legal and financial risks to the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, RBI regulations, and internal policies.
- Prepare MIS reports, litigation dashboards,



and updates for senior management.
- Manage and maintain legal records, documentation, and case trackers.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised university.
- Enrolment with the Bar Council will be preferred.
- Additional qualifications such as LLM will be an advantage.

Desired Experience

- 7–10 years of post-qualification experience in Litigation and Collection Legal functions.
- Mandatory experience in Fintech and/or NBFC industry.
- Strong knowledge of recovery laws, SARFAESI, Arbitration, Negotiable Instruments Act, Consumer Protection Act, and other applicable regulations.
- Experience handling high-volume litigation matters and recovery cases.
- Exposure to legal risk assessment and stakeholder management.
