We are looking for an experienced and responsible *Scrub Side OT Technician* to assist surgeons and the OT team during surgical procedures. The candidate should have good knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, aseptic protocols, and OT procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist surgeons as a *Scrub Side OT Technician* during surgical procedures.
- Prepare the Operation Theatre before each surgery and ensure all required instruments, equipment, and consumables are available.
- Arrange the instrument trolley according to the type of surgical procedure.
- Identify and pass surgical instruments correctly and promptly to the surgeon during procedures.
- Maintain strict *sterile and aseptic techniques* throughout the surgery.
- Perform and document instrument, needle, blade, and sponge/swab counts before, during, and after surgery as per hospital protocol.
- Assist with patient positioning and OT preparation as required.
- Ensure proper cleaning, decontamination, packing, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
- Coordinate with CSSD for sterilized instruments and surgical sets.
- Check the functionality and availability of OT equipment before procedures.
- Follow infection-control, biomedical-waste-management, and patient-safety protocols.
- Maintain proper OT records, checklists, and documentation.
- Immediately report any shortage,



damaged instrument, equipment malfunction, or other OT-related issue to the concerned In-charge.
- Assist in emergency surgeries whenever required.
- Maintain discipline, cleanliness, and qualified conduct inside the Operation Theatre.
- Perform other OT-related responsibilities assigned by the OT In-charge/Management.

Qualification

- Diploma/B.Sc. in *Operation Theatre Technology (OTT)* or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Relevant OT Technician certification, wherever applicable.

Experience

- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience* as a Scrub Side OT Technician.
- Candidate should have hands-on experience assisting in different types of surgical procedures.
- Hospital experience will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and OT procedures.
- Good understanding of sterilization and infection-control practices.
- Ability to work efficiently during emergency and critical surgical procedures.
- Good coordination with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other OT staff.

- Reporting To:* OT In-charge / Nursing Superintendent / Hospital Management

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
