Job Description

We are hiring a hands-on Chef & Restaurant Operations Manager to set up and launch our new restaurant, develop recipes, recruit staff and manage kitchen and restaurant operations.

Food industry experience, central kitchen experience and hands-on recipe development expertise are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Recipe Development & Menu Setup

- Develop and finalise the menu, including food trials and recipe testing.
- Create standard recipe cards with exact ingredient quantities, preparation methods, cooking times, portion sizes and presentation standards.
- Standardise taste, texture and quality across batches and outlets.
- Calculate per-portion food costs and recommend menu pricing.
- Adapt recipes for central kitchen batch production and final preparation at outlets.
- Establish suitable storage, shelf-life, transport and reheating procedures.
- Personally demonstrate recipes and train kitchen staff to follow them consistently.

Restaurant Launch & Central Kitchen Setup

- Lead pre-opening preparations, including kitchen layout, equipment requirements and production workflows.
- Plan central kitchen production, batch preparation, packaging and dispatch.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for ingredients, equipment and operating supplies.
- Establish purchasing, receiving, inventory and stock rotation processes.
- Conduct trial service and ensure operational readiness before launch.

Staff Recruitment & Training

- Source, recruit and train chefs, kitchen helpers, service staff and other restaurant team members.
- Define responsibilities, staffing requirements and duty rosters.
- Train teams on food preparation, hygiene, guest service and operating procedures.

Daily Operations & Cost Control





- Manage kitchen production and daily restaurant operations.
- Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams.
- Monitor food quality, service standards and guest feedback.
- Control food costs, wastage, staffing costs and operating expenses.
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness and temperature-monitoring procedures.
- Track stock, sales and operational performance, and report to management.

Required Experience & Skills

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in restaurants, catering, cloud kitchens or food service businesses.
- Hands-on chef experience and kitchen leadership skills are mandatory.
- Central kitchen operations experience is mandatory.
- Proven experience in recipe setup, standardisation, menu development and food costing is mandatory.
- Experience recruiting, training and managing kitchen and restaurant teams.
- Solid knowledge of procurement, inventory, production planning and food safety.
- Prior experience launching a restaurant or setting up a kitchen is strongly preferred.
- Supplier and staff recruitment connections in Jaipur are an advantage.
- Comfortable working operational shifts, weekends and public holidays.
