Job Summary

Ardram Hospital, Vettichira, is looking for an experienced OT Technician with a minimum of 1 year of experience. The candidate should have knowledge of surgical instruments, OT equipment handling, sterilization, infection control, and assisting during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the operation theatre before scheduled surgeries.
- Arrange and check surgical instruments, equipment, and medical supplies.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during surgical procedures.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of surgical instruments.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the operation theatre.
- Follow infection control protocols and biomedical waste management guidelines.
- Check the functionality of OT equipment before and after procedures.
- Maintain OT records, sterilization logs, and equipment checklists.
- Ensure the availability of required surgical consumables.
- Assist in shifting and positioning patients as required.




- Handle and maintain OT instruments and equipment properly.
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and emergency protocols.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / Certificate in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT).
- Relevant technical qualification in Operation Theatre Technology.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital or surgical centre.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of surgical instruments and OT equipment.
- Knowledge of sterilization and infection control procedures.
- Ability to assist during different surgical procedures.
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during emergency situations.
- Responsible, disciplined, and attentive to detail.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and emergency duties.

Working Conditions

- Full time hospital-based duty.
- Rotational shifts as per hospital requirements.
- Emergency and on-call availability when required.
- Must strictly follow hospital protocols and professional ethics.
