Summary:
We are looking for a Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation Solution Architect / Senior Manager with 18+ years of overall experience and deep expertise in Discrete Event Simulation, manufacturing simulation, digital manufacturing, industrial engineering, automation, and Industry 4.0. The role will lead DES solutions across automotive manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and Industry 4.0 environments, providing solution architecture, technical leadership, delivery governance, and client advisory for simulation-driven transformation programs. The candidate will own the end-to-end simulation lifecycle, including business problem definition, conceptual design, data strategy, model development, verification and validation (V&V;), experimentation, optimization, and actionable recommendations. The role also involves integrating simulation with MES/WMS/ERP, IoT, Digital Twin, analytics, and automation platforms, mentoring simulation engineers, developing reusable accelerators and methodologies, and contributing to Simulation CoE capabilities. The candidate will also support solutioning, proposals, effort estimation, stakeholder management, and the growth of simulation-led offerings.

Role and Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end simulation engagements across manufacturing plants, warehouses, intralogistics, and logistics networks.
Define simulation architecture, system boundaries, modelling approach, level of detail, assumptions, data requirements, and experiment strategy.
Develop scalable and reusable models using Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation and related DES platforms.
Model complex manufacturing processes including BIW, paint, trim & final assembly, EV/battery manufacturing, buffers, sequencing, downtime, rework, and quality constraints.
Design and simulate AGV/AMR, conveyors, forklifts, tugger trains, ASRS, warehouse automation, and material-flow systems.
Perform capacity planning, bottleneck analysis, line balancing, throughput optimization, WIP analysis, OEE improvement,



and resource utilization studies.
Lead Verification & Validation (V&V;) through face-validity workshops, historical data comparison, acceptance criteria, and formal validation.
Define and execute scenario analysis, sensitivity studies, statistical experiments, and simulation optimization.
Integrate simulation solutions with MES, WMS, ERP, IoT and Digital Twin environments for data-driven decision support.
Lead technical reviews, establish coding/model quality standards, and govern documentation, version control, and model lifecycle management.
Translate simulation outputs into quantified operational recommendations, capacity roadmaps, automation business cases, and investment decisions.
Manage technical risks, dependencies, delivery milestones, stakeholder expectations, and escalation activities.
Mentor engineers and team leads conduct technical reviews, coaching, knowledge sharing, and capability development.
Contribute to proposals, solution design, estimation, reusable model libraries, accelerators, playbooks, and CoE initiatives.
Engage with senior client stakeholders and present simulation findings, recommendations, and transformation roadmaps.

Technical Skills & Professional Skills:
Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation / SimTalk – strong hands-on expertise.
Strong knowledge of Discrete Event Simulation, manufacturing simulation, logistics simulation, and digital manufacturing.
Experience with other DES platforms such as AnyLogic, FlexSim, Simio, Arena, WITNESS, DELMIA Quest, or equivalent.
Strong scripting/programming skills using SimTalk, Python, Java, C#, or equivalent.
Expertise in automotive manufacturing processes including BIW, paint, trim & final, powertrain, EV and battery manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of intralogistics and warehouse automation including AGV/AMR, ASRS, conveyors, sortation, picking, kitting, and replenishment.
Experience with MES/WMS/ERP integration, including platforms such as Siemens Opcenter, SAP ME/EWM, Manhattan, or Blue Yonder.




Knowledge of Digital Twin, OPC-UA, MQTT, IoT, real-time data integration, and Industry 4.0 architectures.
Strong understanding of statistical analysis, distribution fitting, warm-up analysis, confidence intervals, experimental design, sensitivity analysis, ANOVA, and optimization.
Experience with LP/MIP, GA, metaheuristic optimization, or simulation-linked optimization.
Proficiency in Python data analytics, including Pandas, SciPy, and visualization tools.
Knowledge of AutoCAD/DWG/DXF, Plant 3D, BIM, or equivalent facility-layout technologies.
Strong technical documentation, presentation, communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing consulting skills.
Experience with Agile delivery, Jira/DevOps, Git, model version control, and delivery governance.
Strong leadership capability with experience in team mentoring, technical governance, solution architecture, and program management.
Ability to convert complex simulation results into business insights and actionable recommendations.

Additional Information:
Experience: 18+ years of overall experience with significant hands-on experience in DES, manufacturing simulation, industrial engineering, digital manufacturing, automation, and Industry 4.0.
Education: Full time degree in Engineering / Industrial Engineering / related discipline, advanced degree such as Master's in Operations/Industrial Engineering is preferred.
Domain: Automotive manufacturing, EV/battery manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, intralogistics, and supply-chain simulation.
Location: Bengaluru / Mumbai / Pan-India / Global delivery client-site travel as required.
Leadership: Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams, enterprise simulation programs, solution architecture, and senior stakeholder engagements.
Preferred Certifications/Exposure: Six Sigma, Industrial Engineering, simulation specialization, or relevant professional certifications.
Professional Expectations: Strong analytical thinking, structured problem solving, executive communication, consulting mindset, innovation orientation, and ability to build reusable simulation capabilities.
Industry Leadership: Exposure to thought leadership, industry forums, technology partnerships, research/publications, or simulation CoE development is preferred.
