A Production Incharge (or Production Supervisor/Manager) is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, managing shop-floor workforce, ensuring production targets are met on time, and maintaining strict quality and safety standards. Job Overview * Job Title: Production Incharge / Production Supervisor * Department: Manufacturing / Production / Operations * Reports To: Plant Manager / Operations Head / Managing Director * Supervises: Shift Supervisors, Operators, Line Workers, Quality Controllers Key Responsibilities 1. Operations & Daily Target Management * Execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules according to sales orders and inventory plans. * Monitor machine utilization, line efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). * Minimize line downtime by coordinating closely with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown repairs. * Ensure optimal raw material consumption to minimize scrap and wastage. 2. Manpower Management & Leadership * Allocate shift duties, operators, and line workers based on production demand. * Track attendance, manage shift rotations, overtime, and daily labor productivity. * Conduct hands-on training for operators on machinery operation, quality checks, and work instructions (SOPs). * Resolve shop-floor conflicts, maintain discipline, and enforce company policies. 3. Quality Control & Compliance * Ensure finished goods strictly comply with quality parameters and customer specs. * Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and 5S methodology on the shop floor. * Conduct root-cause analysis (CAPA / 5-Why) for recurring quality defects or rework issues. * Prepare for and support internal, ISO, and customer quality audits. 4. Safety, Health & Setting (EHS)
* Enforce strict shop-floor safety protocols, including mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Conduct regular safety tool-box talks before shifts and report near-misses or accidents immediately. * Ensure clean, organized, and hazard-free work zones. 5. Inventory & Record Keeping * Maintain accurate daily logs of raw material usage, work-in-progress (WIP), and output. * Update production data in ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Zoho, Tally) at regular intervals. * Coordinate with stores and procurement teams for timely raw material replenishment. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * On-time Delivery Rate (OTD): Meeting daily shift output targets. * OEE / Machine Efficiency: Maximizing uptime and operational performance. * Rejection / Scrap Rate: Keeping defect and scrap percentages below target thresholds. * Safety Record: Zero lost-time injuries (LTI) on the shop floor. * 5S / Audit Compliance: Score achieved in shop-floor organization audits. Required Qualifications & Skills * Education: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or relevant engineering field (or High School / Bachelor's degree with extensive hands-on experience). * Experience: 3–7 years of shop-floor production experience in manufacturing (e.g., Textile, Automotive, FMCG, Pharma, Packaging, Healthcare products). * Technical Knowledge: Understanding of machine operations, process flows, lean manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, Kanban), and basic ERP/production entry tools. * Soft Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making under pressure, crisis management, clear communication, and time management.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
