Mechanical Design Engineer

Kronoplast Extrusion Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with robust practical knowledge of 2D drafting, 3D modelling, machine components and assemblies.

We are looking for someone who can understand machinery, develop practical designs, prepare accurate manufacturing drawings and coordinate with the production team during manufacturing and assembly.

Key Responsibilities

- Create 3D models of machine components, parts and assemblies.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing and fabrication drawings.
- Develop new components and modify existing machine designs as required.
- Prepare drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances and manufacturing details.
- Work on machine assemblies and ensure proper fitment of components.
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Take measurements of existing components or samples and prepare drawings accordingly.
- Support reverse engineering of machine components when required.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication and assembly teams during manufacturing.
- Resolve design and drawing-related issues during production and machine assembly.
- Maintain proper drawing revisions and technical documentation.
- Support improvement and development of existing machinery.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of 2D and 3D mechanical CAD design.




- Hands-on knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Inventor, CATIA, Solid Edge or similar CAD software.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing, fabrication and machine assembly processes.
- Ability to understand mechanical components and convert requirements into practical designs.
- Good problem-solving and coordination skills.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

- Candidates with relevant experience in mechanical design or machine design are welcome.
- Freshers with strong practical knowledge, CAD skills, and hands-on project experience in 2D/3D mechanical design are also encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience

Experience or exposure in any of the following will be an added advantage:

- Plastic extrusion machinery
- Screw and barrel systems
- Industrial machinery
- Machine manufacturing
- Fabrication and assembly equipment
- Reverse engineering of mechanical components
