The Role

We are looking for a Server to join the Front of House team at Larder & Folk.

The role is centred around creating a warm, efficient and memorable experience for every guest. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining the dining area and working closely with the kitchen and FOH team to ensure smooth service.

The ideal candidate is friendly, attentive, confident with guests and genuinely enjoys working in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

- Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating when required.
- Be knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients, specials and bakery offerings.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Answer guest questions and make recommendations when appropriate.
- Check on tables throughout the meal and respond promptly to guest requests.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate concerns to the manager when required.
- Ensure guests receive a warm, attentive and personalised experience.

Service

- Serve food and beverages efficiently and correctly.
- Ensure tables are properly set before service.
- Clear and reset tables promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area throughout the shift.
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar and other FOH team members.
- Follow service standards and sequence of service at all times.
- Ensure takeaway and bakery orders are packed and handed over correctly when required.

Menu & Product Knowledge





- Maintain a strong understanding of the food and beverage menu.
- Be familiar with ingredients, allergens and common dietary requirements.
- Stay updated on daily specials, unavailable items and new menu additions.
- Be able to confidently explain our bakery products and house-made offerings.

Closing & Opening Duties

- Complete opening and closing checklists as assigned.
- Ensure tables, chairs, service stations and guest areas are clean and ready.
- Restock service stations and FOH supplies.
- Assist with end-of-day cleaning and organisation.
- Ensure all equipment and service areas are properly maintained.

- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, bakery or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Good grooming and personal hygiene.
- Punctual, reliable and responsible.
- Willingness to learn and take feedback.
- A genuine interest in food, hospitality and service.

Reporting To : Café Manager

Employment Type : Full-time

Location: Larder & Folk, Goa

Experience : 1–3 years preferred; freshers with the right attitude may also be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
