Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Director – Cost Engineering (Plastics) to lead the cost engineering function for

the Plastic category. The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in plastic manufacturing processes, costing

methodologies, cost modelling, manufacturing cost analysis and leadership.

The candidate will be responsible for developing cost engineering strategies, leading cost engineering teams, driving

cost optimization initiatives and supporting client engagements across multiple industries.

Reporting & Leadership

- Lead a global team of Cost Engineers and provide technical direction and mentorship.
- Own the overall Cost Engineering function for the Plastic category.
- Work closely with cross-functional, product development and engineering teams.
- Lead client engagements and act as the subject matter expert for Plastic Cost Engineering.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders on strategic cost engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities – Leadership & Strategy

- Develop and implement a comprehensive cost engineering strategy for the Plastic category.
- Lead a global team of cost engineers, providing mentorship and technical direction.
- Ensure delivery of accurate and detailed costing analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Lead client engagements and ensure timely delivery of client initiatives and programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, product development and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities – Costing & Analysis

- Drive cost evaluations across various plastic manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain detailed cost models based on industry-specific requirements.

Identify key cost drivers and provide actionable cost-reduction recommendations.





- Drive Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives.
- Evaluate alternate manufacturing processes and material selection opportunities.
- Perform manufacturing cost analysis and material cost optimization.

Implement cost engineering best practices across different plastic manufacturing processes.

Improve costing accuracy, efficiency and cost transparency.

- Drive automation and continuous improvement within cost engineering solutions.

Identify opportunities to improve cost modelling and analysis processes.

Industry Collaboration

- Monitor industry trends and technological advancements in plastics.

Identify opportunities for solution enhancement and efficiency improvement.

- Provide expert guidance on Plastic Cost Engineering.
- Support strategic decisions related to cost structures, manufacturing processes and market trends.

Candidate Requirements

- 22–30 years of overall professional experience.
- Minimum 10–15+ years of experience in Cost Engineering, specifically focused on Plastic processes.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in Cost Engineering or a related function.
- Proven expertise across multiple Plastic manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of Plastic materials, manufacturing techniques and cost drivers.
- Strong business acumen with understanding of cost structures and market trends.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Candidates who are immediate joiners, serving notice, or available within 15 days are preferred.

Pay: ₹3,000,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year
