About the Role

Current Prem Bus Service is looking for an experienced and responsible Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, banking, reconciliations and financial reporting for our transport business.

The ideal candidate should have experience handling accounts involving daily cash collections, bank transactions, expenses, payroll, vehicle-related expenses and loans. Experience in a transport, fleet, logistics or similar cash-intensive business will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain complete and accurate daily accounting records.
- Record daily cash and digital collections from different locations/routes.
- Perform daily bank reconciliation and monitor deposits.
- Reconcile cash collection reports with bank deposits and accounting records.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Record diesel, spare-parts, tyre, repair and maintenance expenses.
- Maintain employee salary, attendance and payment records.
- Monitor business loans, EMI payments and interest.
- Prepare monthly income, expense and profitability reports.
- Maintain partner/current accounts as required.




- Coordinate with the CA for GST, TDS, income tax and statutory compliance.
- Maintain proper documentation and supporting invoices for all major transactions.
- Identify and report discrepancies, unusual transactions or unexplained shortages.
- Prepare regular financial reports for management.
- Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.

Requirements

- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Tally/other accounting software and MS Excel.
- Experience with bank reconciliation and cash reconciliation.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS and basic taxation.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to independently identify accounting discrepancies.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Experience in transport/logistics/fleet operations is an advantage.

Important

This is a responsibility-heavy position. The selected candidate will be expected to maintain accurate records and independently reconcile financial information rather than simply enter transactions.
