Operations Head in Firefighting System

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Operations Head to lead the execution of VariEx fire and safety projects. The role will involve complete ownership of project execution, site operations, manpower, materials, timelines, quality, safety, and client coordination.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in handling fire protection and safety projects and be comfortable managing multiple sites, teams, contractors, and project requirements simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project & Site Operations

- Take complete responsibility for day-to-day execution of VariEx projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor multiple project sites from start to completion.
- Ensure projects are executed within the agreed timeline, scope, quality, and budget.
- Conduct regular site visits and monitor progress.
- Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Identify site-level issues and ensure timely resolution.

2. Fire & Safety Project Execution

- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and handover of fire and safety systems.
- Manage projects involving:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Fire Hydrant Systems
- Fire Sprinkler Systems
- Fire Extinguishers
- Gas Suppression Systems
- Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems
- Fire Pumps and related equipment
- Fire Doors and other fire safety products
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and applicable safety standards.

3. Manpower Management

- Allocate manpower according to project requirements.
- Monitor attendance,



productivity, discipline, and performance of site teams.
- Ensure sufficient skilled manpower is available at each project site.
- Coordinate with HR for recruitment or deployment requirements.
- Train and guide engineers, technicians, and supervisors where required.

4. Material & Vendor Management

- Plan project material requirements in coordination with the procurement team.
- Ensure materials reach sites on time.
- Monitor material usage, wastage, shortages, and returns.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Verify materials and equipment before installation.

5. Client & Contractor Coordination

- Maintain regular communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Attend site meetings and project review meetings.
- Understand client requirements and ensure proper execution.
- Handle site-level complaints, escalations, and operational issues.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and ensure timely project handover.

6. Quality, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure all site activities meet required quality and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Ensure proper testing, commissioning, documentation, and handover.
- Ensure workers follow required safety practices and PPE requirements.
- Identify operational risks and take corrective action.

7. Project Reporting & Documentation





- Track project progress against planned timelines.
- Prepare and review daily/weekly project status reports.
- Monitor project costs, manpower, materials, and productivity.
- Ensure proper documentation of site work, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Report delays, cost overruns, te;chnical issues, and other major concerns to management.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Fire & Safety Engineering or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in project execution or operations, preferably in the fire & safety industry.
- Strong experience in handling multiple project sites and site teams.
- Practical knowledge of fire alarm, hydrant, sprinkler, suppression, and other fire protection systems.
- Solid manpower, vendor, material, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Valid driving licence preferred.

What We Expect:

The Operations Head will be expected to take ownership of project execution, rather than only monitor operations. The person should be capable of identifying problems at site, coordinating the required teams/resources, and ensuring that projects are completed successfully with minimum delays and escalations.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
