Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager with Trade Finance Domain knowledge to lead end-to-end testing for a Trade Finance transformation program covering multiple Trade Finance products and channels. The Test Manager will be responsible for test strategy, planning, execution governance, quality, stakeholder management, team leadership, and successful delivery across SIT, UAT, data migration, performance testing, and automation.

The role will work closely with the Bank's business and technology stakeholders, project leadership, application teams, implementation partners, and onshore/offshore testing teams to ensure testing is delivered within agreed timelines and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Test Strategy & Planning

Define and manage the overall test strategy, scope, approach, and execution plan.

Plan and govern SIT, UAT, regression, sanity/smoke, data migration, performance, and automation testing.

Align testing activities with project milestones and go-live timelines.

Identify and manage testing risks, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints.

- Lead testing across Trade Finance products including:

Import LC

Export LC

Bills & Collections

Loans / LTR

Bank Guarantees

Supply Chain Finance

Trade Finance portals and channels

Ensure appropriate functional, integration, end-to-end, negative, boundary, and regression coverage.

Work with Trade Finance SMEs and business stakeholders to validate business processes and scenarios.

- Test Execution & Quality

Govern test scenario and test case preparation and execution.

Monitor testing progress, coverage, productivity, and quality.

Ensure traceability between requirements, business processes, testing, and defects.

Ensure testing is completed within agreed timelines and quality expectations.

- Defect Management





Manage defect governance and triage across business, development, application, and implementation teams.

Monitor critical defects, ageing, priorities, and closure trends.

Escalate issues that may impact project milestones or go-live.

Drive resolution of recurring and high-impact quality issues.

- Customer & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary testing point of contact for customer business and technology stakeholders.

Manage customer expectations on testing progress, risks, dependencies, and quality.

Lead regular test status meetings and governance discussions.

Build strong relationships with customer leadership and business teams.

Communicate testing issues and their business impact clearly to stakeholders.

- Automation & Performance Testing

Drive the overall test automation strategy in collaboration with automation specialists.

Evaluate and govern automation solutions such as Helio, Selenium, or equivalent platforms.

Assess automation feasibility, effort, timelines, and business value.

Drive automation readiness for sanity, smoke, and regression testing.

Coordinate performance testing using tools such as JMeter and Grafana.

Ensure performance testing is appropriately planned and aligned with project requirements.

- Data Migration Testing

Govern validation of migrated Trade Finance data between source and target systems.

Ensure data validation covers completeness, accuracy, integrity, format, data types, field lengths, and business rules.

Coordinate reconciliation and resolution of migration exceptions.

- Environment & Test Data Management

Coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, and customer teams to ensure test environments are available and stable.

Manage environment, access, test data, interface, and third-party dependencies.

Ensure appropriate test data is available across different testing cycles.





- Governance & Reporting

Provide regular testing status and management updates to project and customer leadership.

Monitor key testing metrics, progress, quality, defects, risks, dependencies, and readiness.

Provide management-level insights and recommendations.

Assess overall testing readiness and provide inputs for go-live decisions.

Required Experience

12+ years of overall testing experience, with significant Test Management experience.

Solid experience in Banking / Financial Services, preferably Trade Finance.

Good understanding of Trade Finance processes and products.

Experience managing large or distributed testing teams.

Proven experience across SIT, UAT, regression, integration, migration, performance, and automation testing.

Experience working directly with banking customers and business stakeholders.

Strong defect management and quality governance experience.

Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.

Good understanding of API, database, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Helio, or equivalent.

Exposure to performance testing using JMeter or equivalent tools is desirable.

Experience with data migration validation and reconciliation.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and escalation management skills.
