Job Description: Bid Manager – Smart Structures & SHM Solutions

Job Overview

Smart Structures is the global leader in wireless Embedded Data Collector (EDC) solutions used to determine structural integrity, pile capacity, and long-term asset health in real-time. Our patented, cutting-edge IoT technologies are transforming civil infrastructure by embedding smart intelligence directly into concrete structural elements across their entire life cycle.

We are seeking a highly proactive and competent Bid Manager with 7–10 years of experience to own our end-to-end proposal and tendering life cycle in India. The ideal candidate will identify, source, and write winning technical and commercial responses to RFPs from government websites like the GeM Portal, Central/State public procurement systems, and corporate aggregators.

- Experience: 7–10 years in bid management for heavy civil infrastructure, IoT instrumentation, or telemetry systems. Deep experience writing responses for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) or foundation engineering projects is highly preferable.
- Location: Hyderabad, Telangana (Remote/Work From Home options are available exclusively for exceptionally experienced candidates).

Key Responsibilities

1. Opportunity Sourcing & Tender Intelligence

- Proactively track, filter, and identify relevant RFPs, EOIs, and global tenders published on the GeM Portal, state-level e-procurement boards, and private corporate aggregator networks.
- Target opportunities explicitly aligned with Smart Structures core offerings, including Structural Health Monitoring (SHM),



Embedded IoT Sensors, Smart Structures technology, Infrastructure Digital Twins, and automatic Data Acquisition Systems (DAQ).
- Conduct exhaustive compliance matrices and eligibility screening (Technical, Financial, and Legal criteria) to present concrete go/no-go recommendations to management.

2. Proposal Orchestration & Solution Writing

- Own the entire proposal creation life cycle from RFP shredding to post-submission clarification rounds.
- Write detailed, compelling, and bulletproof technical architectures and narratives that highlight our proprietary capabilities, such as the patented wireless SmartPile® Inspector and Embedded Data Collectors (EDC).
- Collaborate closely with our US and Indian technical leads, product engineers, and system design teams to convert complex structural testing methodologies (like Dynamic Load Testing or concrete maturity metrics) into digestible tender prose.

3. Statutory Compliance & Stakeholder Relations

- Ensure 100% adherence to all evaluation parameters specified by government clients, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and corporate contractors.
- Secure and organize administrative documentation, including manufacturer authorization forms (MAFs), Earnest Money Deposits (EMD), Bank Guarantees (BG),



safety compliance certs, and past execution logs.
- Coordinate with external partners, joint-venture affiliates, or target clients to fulfill eligibility gaps during multi-party bidding exercises.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical & Domain Expertise

- Deep understanding of civil infrastructure technology, structural instrumentation, telemetry networks, cloud computing data pipelines, and real-time sensor processing.
- Thorough familiarity with the operations of Indian public infrastructure segments (e.g., highway bridge expansions, metro lines, rail networks, deep foundation pilings, or mega-dam constructions).

Platform & Regulatory Familiarity

- Proven, hand-on mastery of the GeM Portal (bidding, reverse auctions, cataloging) and diverse Central Public Procurement Portals (CPPP).
- Familiarity with tender frameworks governing engineering requirements, such as AASHTO or relevant Indian Road Congress (IRC) / Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) codes.

Core Competencies & Soft Skills

- Exceptional presentation skills and written English literacy, capable of structuring professional executive summaries and complex tech-specs under rigid deadlines.
- Agile project management mentality to handle multiple parallel bid timelines seamlessly.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

Pay: ₹13,134.93 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
